What a difference a year makes – or does it?

January 25th, 2009 · No Comments · chesterfield township, macomb county mi real estate market

michelleannAround this time last year (I remember because it was cold and snowy – again!) I wrote an article about a home seller in our area (Chesterfield Township) who had success because of the things that they did correctly:

They priced their home to compete with the bank owned homes that were cropping up in their neighborhood.

They also made sure their home was ready to show at a moments notice (clean, snow removed from walkways, inviting to the eye upon a drive by, etc.)

This home popped into my head once again today because it is now a year later, and things really haven’t changed at all.

Homeowners all across Macomb County are competing with the bank owned homes (foreclosures and distressed sales) as far as pricing is concerned, but those homeowners who make their homes stand out from the crowd do have success.

2009 is feeling like 2008 in the real estate market for Macomb County.  Pricing and condition are still keys to your sucess.    Read the article that I wrote almost a year ago – the story is still fitting for 2009.
