Looking for some fun in the Shores
this weekend?

The Nine Mile and Mack area will be hosting a June ‘Fest on Saturday June 7th **10:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m.

If you haven’t been to that area of St. Clair Shores in a while I highly
recommend it. There are so many wonderful little shops and restaurants,
all with that wonderful “Mom & Pop” flavor. The Shores Inn (pictured
below) is a wonderful local restaurant that will be offering a side walk

Another one of my favorites is the Luna Cafe. It is more coffee shop orientated and highlights local musicians in the evening hours. (Ask the gal or guy at the counter to make you something icy cold with your favorite flavor! They cheerfully put anything together you would like.)

The festival will be a chance for the local business owners to highlight
their business in an outdoor sidewalk setting. It will also have much to
do for family fun: A small animal petting area, an arts and crafts show,
local food and drinks and so much more.

I’m going to do my best to stroll through the area in the late morning before
I have to head out for buyer clients to view homes. I know I’ll be stopping
in at Luna Cafe for my icy cold mocha with mint syrup.

Kris Wales: Hi Karen, You have several different issues with this one: Making the payments but not being on the note for the home, and your husband being on the deed of the home. I am not sure if there is any difference in the way a foreclosure would be treated in this instance (with the passing away of the relative who signed the note) or not. You could be considered a tenant, and yet your husband is on the deed, so the interpretation may be different. What you need is good legal advice. Most first consultations are free. Karen Lowe: Hi, I have been living in a home for 15 years the **mortgage** only is in someones name who passed away I have been making the payments and went to the bank to try to assume mortgage i was told by the broker to get a loan of my own and let the house go, at this time i am still making payments but cant get caught up as deceasaed was 2 months behind I been trying to catch up since last july when the mortgagee passed, will this property go though the normal foreclosure process of redemption periods and sherrif sale if she is deaceased, my husband in on the deed only!
