One of the areas of Macomb County that has witnessed some sense of order and stability through the foreclosure crisis in our state is Sterling Heights.
The city of Sterling Heights has always been a stable city in terms of real estate bought and sold, and most times it has thrived. However it is not immune though to the economic times. Sterling Heights has so much to offer its citizens (wonderful schools and parks, a responsible government that does a tremendous job with the tax dollars it receives, city services to its businesses and residents that is top notch) that it continually is recognized as a wonderful place to live in Macomb County.
Recently I had the pleasure of representing a home buyer purchasing a foreclosed upon home in Sterling Heights. I have made several trips to the home and without fail each time I was at the home there were neighbors outside chatting with each other, neighbors keeping an eye on the home in a protective fashion and people that cared about their community and surroundings.
It brought to mind once again why the City of Sterling Heights has such a stellar reputation in Macomb County: The people. The residents. The taxpayers. The neighborhoods.
It was a pleasure to be a witness to the level of caring that I saw displayed by those who live in the city. The caring is one main reason that I believe that the city will continue to thrive and weather it’s way through the mortgage and foreclosure crisis that has hit our area.

It’s about time isn’t it?
I love being out and about now – even in the rain
